Breakout Scholarship Database
If you're enrolled in a Unitec programme, you may be able to take $2,000.00 off your student fees. Unitec offers a large number of Study Awards to prospective and current students. There are two types of awards available.
Unitec Study Awards
To be eligible for a Unitec Study Award you must be a current Unitec student, or have applied for enrolment in a full-time, full-year Unitec programme. You will be at an advantage if you're enrolled in a diploma or degree-level programme.
Who can apply?
Prospective students
* Must meet the entry requirements for the programme; and
* Must have applied for enrolment in a full-time, full-year Unitec programme at Diploma, Degree or Postgraduate level.
You may have a better chance if you currently attend one of Unitec's partner schools.
Current students
* Must have completed at least the equivalent of one-year full-time study in a Unitec programme by year's end; and
* Must intend to study full-time in a full-year Unitec programme at Diploma, Degree or Postgraduate level and have submitted a re-enrolment form.
Selection criteria
The following factors will also be considered for all applications:
* Community involvement
* Equity/diversity objectives for Māori, Pacific peoples, refugees and students with disabilities
* Financial need
* Academic achievement of B- grade or higher
* Programme of study.
Study Awards are available to New Zealand domestic students only.

Applicants must be willing to have their progress monitored.
How to apply
An application form for 2011 Unitec Study Awards will be made available from the QUICKLINKS section of this page in November 2010.
Application proces
Incomplete application will not be considered.
The Study Award will be processed upon completion of your enrolment.
The Study Award ($2,000.00) will be credited to your Unitec student fees at the end the academic year following confirmed results of B- grade or higher. Therefore successful applicants are required to arrange payment of fees at the beginning of the semester.
