USA:The Udall Scholarship 2011 At The University of Texas

The University of Texas at Austin has been invited to nominate qualified students to be considered for the scholarship.A committee of faculty and staff will review applications and select up to six nominees for the national competition. The Foundation does not accept applications directly from students.

The Udall Foundation seeks future leaders across a wide spectrum of environmental fields, including policy, engineering, science, education, urban planning and renewal, business, health, justice and economics.

The Foundation also seeks future Native American and Alaska Native leaders in public and community health care, tribal government and public policy affecting Native American communities, including land and resource management, economic development and education.

In 2011, the Foundation expects to award 80 scholarships and 50 honorable mentions on the basis of merit to sophomore and junior level college students

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must:

* be a current University of Texas at Austin student with sophomore or junior standing in the 2010-2011 academic year

* study the environment or a related field, or be a Native American or Native Alaskan studying health care or tribal policy.
