UK:Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship 2011 for Applicants from Developing Countries at University of Nottingham

Scholarship opportunities for International students for pursuing master studies at University of Nottingham, UK.Launched in 2001, Developing Solutions is The University of Nottingham’s flagship scholarship programme.It is targeted at students from developing countries and uses a variety of internal and external sources to offer one of the most attractive scholarship packages in the country.


The scholarships are aimed at Masters level courses in the broad areas of environment, food, health, science and technology – those most likely to enhance progress in developing countries.

You can apply for this scholarship if you

* are a national of (or permanently domiciled in) Africa, India or one of the countries of the Commonwealth listed below* AND
* are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes AND
* already hold an offer to start a full-time Masters degree programme (including MRes) at Nottingham in 2011 – Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences and Faculty of Science, plus some courses in the School of Geography, Institute for Science & Society, Institute of Work, Health & Organisations, and courses allied to Operations Management in the Business School

To qualify for this scholarship you must:

* be classed as an overseas student for fees purposes, and
* hold an offer to start a full-time Masters degree programme (including MRes) in 2010 for an eligible course.

Eligible courses

All courses in the Department of Engineering, the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences and the Faculty of Science. Additionally some courses in the School of Geography, the Institute for Science & Society, the Institute of Work, Health & Organisations and courses allied to Operations Management in the Business School.

One full tuition fee scholarship is also available for a student from Africa for the MSc in Crop Improvement in the School of Biosciences.

The closing date for applications is 6th April 2011
