15 Fully Funded Distance Learning Scholarships 2010 For The East and Southern African Commonwealth Countries

15 fully funded Distance learning scholarships available in 2010 for scholars in east and southern African Commonwealth countries to study the MSc in Education for Sustainability at London South Bank University.

The internationally recognised EFS programme at LSBU has over 15 years of experience working with practitioners to build capacity in education for sustainability. The programme was set up in 1994 as the result of an collaboration between a consortium of development and environmental non governmental organisations and the university. Participants have been drawn from a wide range of backgrounds, professions and geographical regions and many graduates have gone on to become key change makers in their fields and to take up influential positions in key organisations. We are currently looking for applicants who are working in east or southern African Commonwealth countries, who are in leadership or potential leadership roles in their organisation and who are interested in becoming part of a community of learning and practice in EFS. Please note that these are fully funded scholarships for distance learning. For successful applicants, funding will cover all the costs of tutoring, assessment, study guides and readers, together with a travel grant for attendance at the residential week. We particularly welcome applications from women, who are under, represented in leadership roles.

The MSc Education for Sustainability will enable you to:

Develop your leadership skills in promoting and managing change
Help to build capacity in your field or work and organisation
Develop your understanding of key issues for development, the environment and education
Design effective education, training or communication programmes and strategies for sustainable development
Enhance your key skills in evaluation and participatory processes
Gain professional accreditation to support your career development
