Europe:Erasmus Mundus MUNDUSFOR Scholarships

Mundusfor will provide the tools and competencies necessary for the education of professionals involved with teaching in educational institutions, in enterprises, and in community development agencies and associations.

The Master Degree intends to provide the acquisition of several competencies that will enable the student to: reflect over education and its diverse dimensions in Europe and in the world; have an attitude toward research aimed at the improvement of professional practice; manage and lead educational services and programmes; design, implement and evaluate intervention strategies in the education of professional educators; be a proficient mentor in consultancy in different areas of education of professionals.

The master degree programme is organised in two years and 120 ECTS, which are distributed in 4 semestres. It consists of modules distributed under the following titles:

A.The context of education and professions.
B.Evaluation for improvements in education.
C.Management of education.
D.Guidance and counselling.
E.Innovation.
F.Thesis: Research on professional practice.
G.Seminar for academic and social integration of students and academic staff.

In the 1st semester, identical modules will be taught in the five Universities, in full and partial attendance to the meetings, and also in the form of distance teaching. At the end of the semester, a similar for orientation and integration of Master degree students will be organized by all the Universities.


Admission Criteria

The Master Degree offers a university training of excellence aimed at graduates coming from different disciplines, who are willing to start a professional career in the field of education of prefessional in education within diferent contexts, as well as student of a degree with pedagogical academic contents, such as Pedagogy, Psychopedagogy (Education Phychology), Teaching, Social Education and others. The Master Degree is also targeted at professionals from various disciplines working as trainers of professionals in the fields of Law, Economics, Medicine, Engeneering, etc.

The students interested in applying must hold a degree in higher education, equivalent to 180 ETCS.

The students will have to be a proficient ina least two languages (TOEFL or similar certificates required), depending on the chosen path of mobility and/or selected specialisation. The admission criteria are based on a combination of academic records, prefessional experience, professional motivation and social competencies.

Languages

Two languages are required: one from the university where the students starts th programme to take the foundation modules and the other from where the specialization is carried out:

◦Akershus - English
◦Granada and Tarragona - Spanish
◦Porto - Portuguese
◦Reims - French

Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for non European Union Students (Category A)

In the framework of Erasmus Mundus, the MUNDUSFOR Master will have Erasmus Mundus Scholarships for non-EU students (About 18 in 2010-2012 Course) who did not have a stay in an EU-country for more than one year over the last five years (called category A students).

This scholarship is only available for those students who have not carried out their main activities (Studies, Work, etcetera) in Europe for more than 12 months in the last five years. The selected student, will receive a scholarship of totally 24 000 € per year.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for EU Students and non European students (Category B)

In the framework of Erasmus Mundus II starting from the academic year 2010, Europe will offer new scholarships that is called category B. These scholarships are devoted for European students and also for third country students who have stayed for more than 12 months in the EU countries mentioned on the Erasmus Mundus website. The selected student will receive a grant of totally 10 000 € per year
